At the southernmost tip of Puglia, in Capo di Leuca, our family has deep roots in a land shaped by Mediterranean sun and sea breeze. Inspired by this heritage, Leùlia was born; an organic extra virgin olive oil made from early-harvest olives to preserve their natural simplicity. Crafted with care, it offers a balanced, elegant flavour, always enhancing, never overpowering. This is the story behind every bottle.

Where we're from

Leùlia comes from Capo di Leuca, the southernmost edge of Puglia, where the Adriatic and Ionian seas meet. This is a land shaped by light, wind, limestone soil and sea breeze. Olive trees grow here in direct contact with the elements, adapting to a landscape that is both generous and demanding. Around them, dry stone walls mark the fields and carry the memory of the land — built without mortar, shaped by hand, and still part of the rural landscape today. For our family, this place is not just an origin. It is the reason Leùlia exists.

OUR FAMILY

Mamma Anna and Papà Franco are the heart of our family and the reason this tradition continues. For us, olive oil has always been part of family life: in the kitchen, around the table, and during the harvest. Each year, when the olives are ready, our family gathers again in Leuca from different cities and countries to work together, share time, and keep this ritual alive.

THE HARVEST

The harvest begins early in the season, when the olives are still firm, green and full of character. Picking at this moment means working with a smaller yield, but preserving what matters most: freshness, intensity and a naturally high concentration of polyphenols. The olives are collected with care and brought quickly to the mill, so that their aroma, structure and nutritional qualities remain intact from the field to the first drop of oil.

THE MILL

At the mill, time and temperature become essential. Within hours of the harvest, the olives are cold extracted at low temperatures to preserve their natural freshness, aroma and nutritional value. During ‘’gremolazione’’, the oil slowly takes shape: the fruit is gently worked, allowing its green notes, structure and balance to emerge without losing what makes it alive. This is where Leùlia becomes oil — pure, 100% organic and carefully preserved.

LEUCA'S ORIGIN

Leuca was once known as Finibus Terrae — the end of the land. Long before it became a destination, it was a place of passage. Ancient sailors are said to have sought protection here before crossing the two seas, and the Sanctuary of Santa Maria di Leuca still carries traces of that layered history. The name Leùlia begins here: “Le” from Leuca, and “ùlia” as a tribute to the olive tree, echoing ancient words and local dialects. The symbol follows the same idea. An octagonal form recalls the architecture of southern Puglia; church rose windows, stone courtyards and traditional wells. Inside it, olive leaves in bloom suggest origin, balance and the beginning of the olive’s life cycle. Together, the name and symbol hold the two elements at the heart of Leùlia: place and tree.
